I recommend "Celebration of Discipline"

"Superficiality is the curse of our age" wrote Richard Foster thirty years ago as in introduction to his book "The Celebration of Discipline". I'm curious what prophetic words he uses now to describe our current lives of Facebook, Twitter, and Ticker Tape breaking news updates. I can too easily find myself on a treadmill of worries, busyness, and superficiality. The treadmill looks productive and exciting, but can often mask a loss of intimacy with our Creator God and those around us.
